Nearly a century before tiny homes were trendy, an ultra-slender duplex appeared in Seattle.
From the front, the mustard-colored home looks like a relatively normal house — it's about 56 feet long. But from the side, the railroad-style duplex measures just four-and-a-half feet wide.
The house, which was built in 1925, is currently for sale, listed at $499,000. It was purchased in 2014 for $375,000 by an architect named Clay Wallace, who told Zillow that he couldn't resist the home's Spanish Colonial Revival charm.
"It just spoke to me," he said.

Inside, the 860-square-foot house looks beautiful and surprisingly roomy. You enter in the middle of the two-story home, and there's a bedroom and bathroom on each floor.
