Liceo Europa is a kindergarten in Zaragoza, Spain, that completely reimagines the traditional classroom. Instead of sitting at desks facing a chalkboard, kids climb custom-built landscapes that encourage play and imagination.
We spoke with Rosan Bosch of the Copenhagen design firm Rosan Bosch Studio, which created this education-wonderland.
The client wanted an environment that matched its unique teaching style.
"A differentiated physical space that supports students varying needs and fosters creativity is, in my view, the most productive learning environment," Bosch says.
Different spaces support varying learning situations. A bright green mountain serves as a venue for presentations and performances.
