Architectural legend Zaha Hadid died on Thursday at age 65.
She died after experiencing a heart attack in a Miami hospital where she was being treated for bronchitis, the BBC reports.
The Iraqi-born architect is known globally for her innovative and iconic designs, including the London Olympic Aquatic Center and the Guangzhou Opera House. More recently, Hadid designed her first ever high-rise apartment building in Manhattan.
While the world mourns the loss of one of the most influential architects of the century, Hadid's legacy lives on through her inspired designs, many of which she highlighted on her Instagram account.
