If you're flocking to the South by Southwest festival starting March 15, you don't have to settle for a boring hotel room.
You could instead stay in an apartment that (sort of) looks like a birdhouse. Because...why not?
It's in the headquarters of HomeAway, a vacation-rental company based in Austin, Texas, and serves as a life-size replica of the company's blue birdhouse logo. HomeAway claims it's the world's largest "human birdhouse."
HomeAway is auctioning the space out for the last weekend of SXSW, an annual music, culture, and tech festival. All the proceeds will go to Austin's Habitat for Humanity.
Check out the space, which looks a lot more comfortable than the "human bird nests" we've seen.
The two-story birdhouse is perched in the heart of Austin, with grand windows that overlook the city.
